The African Management Services Company (AMSCO) in collaboration with the World Trade Centre (WTC) Accra is hosting a private sector breakfast meeting, aimed at developing human capital in the private sector to promote growth of enterprise in the country.
The meeting also seeks to introduce AMSCO and the African Training and Management Services Project (ATMS), a regional project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and share past experiences in using expert human resource for spurring the future growth of companies.
Expected participants include major stakeholders of AMSCO: namely, the World Bank/IFC and the AfDB.
As a regional project of the UNDP set up to develop management capacity in Africa, AMSCO intends to organise series of private sector workshops in the country and also carry out active monitoring and evaluation in its effort to significantly impact the African private sector .
This is AMSCO’s contribution to Ghana’s efforts at meeting two of the millennium development goal; namely eradicating poverty and developing a global partnership for development.
Officials of the World Trade Centre Accra explained that their collaboration with the country’s development partner, AMSCO, goes to recognise their commitment to ensuring successful operations and sustainability of businesses in improving corporate standards and expanding opportunities for the people.
