Ghana is to host the first regional
Mining and Petroleum Forum (ECOMOF) scheduled for October 6-8, 2015.
The ECOWAS Commission is organising
the forum in collaboration with Ghana and an international business event
organiser, AME Ltd., under the theme “Valorising West Africa's Mineral and
Petroleum Resources through Regional Cooperation”.
The forum is expected to bring
together high-ranking government delegations from the region and will also
attract key public and private sector decisionmakers in the region’s mining and
petroleum industries.
Highlights of the event will include
pre-conference training and interactive workshops, a conference with plenary
and parallel sessions, roundtables and country presentations. Other highlights include a trade
exhibition, a social networking programme, post-event industry and
socio-cultural tours.
