Industries Limited, has confirmed that its two-year warranty initiative on all
products, which took effect from February 1, 2015, is aimed at deepening
assurance that customers can continue to procure products with confidence from
all its resellers in the country.
The decision is to focus on quality, durability,
affordability and customer-centric innovations that will make indoors more comfortable and livable through a
wide range of cooling technologies suitable for any home or business, he said.
Binatone has officially announced a two-year warranty initiative
on all its products that comes into effect from this month. The initiative will
allow customers to receive new warranty cards with which they will be able to
avail the new warranty.
Customers will see new packaging where product cartons
will demonstrate the new two-year warranty logo on them. However, customers can
rest assured that all products with old branding will be offered with the new two-year
warranty.
“Over the years, while we have been working hard to
continuously innovate, we have been paying equal attention to understanding our
customers.
“Our annual brand surveys have helped us study the
markets, our customers and their behaviour. We take this knowledge very
seriously and rely on it to differentiate ourselves from the rest,” he said.
Mr. Alvani said this in Accra at a media interaction
to announce Binatone’s two-year warranty initiative on all products.
“By doubling our warranty period, we are paying heed
to our customers’ need, while demonstrating the faith we have in our products.
“We have a strong presence here in Ghana and this is
the reason we are launching our two-year warranty in the country first,” he
said.
He explained that the company pays great attention to customer’s
needs and has turned them into products, technologies and solutions.
“At the
heart of this is our global innovation engine that helps us deliver high
quality consumer appliances which help enhance our customer’s lives by making
household chores easy and efficient.
“Lastly, we also
focus on power solutions. We understand the requirement of power that the
rapidly urbanising population of Africa needs.”
The most popular Binatone products in the country’s
retail market include various models of standing fans: with and without remote
control rechargeable fans; heavy-duty standing fans; wall fans; orbit fans; a
wide variety of ceiling fans; digital voltage regulators of different
capacities; rice-cookers, blenders with grinders, steam and dry irons, gas
cookers, among others.
This wide product penetration shows that more
Ghanaians are choosing convenience and efficiency in their lives than ever
before, Mr. Alvani stated.
“We are seeing unprecedented changes in how people
manage their work-life balance. Customers are rethinking their purchases and
not spending their hard-earned money on cheap or fake products.
“As we intend to cater to these needs even further, we
believe Ghana is the perfect market to understand our African customer better
-- while also being the gateway for us to succeed in Africa. “We have a strong
presence here and this is the reason we are launching our two-year warranty in
Ghana first,” he said.
He added that Binatone has been in existence since in
1958 in the United Kingdom as a result of its desire to meet the modern
lifestyle needs of customers. It currently has operations in more than 20
countries of Africa alone.
Having sold more than 100 million products across
Africa by the end of 2014, the brand continues to stay close to its markets and
customers, paying close attention to the rapidly changing lives and behaviour
of its customers, he said.

“New warranty cards will be issued to customers, and
those products sold earlier but having valid warranties will also be included
under this new warranty.
“For those customers who have purchased products
before this date, their products will also be covered under the two-year
warranty, such that if a customer has a valid one-year warranty that still
applies, the product will be warranted for an additional year. Indeed, this is
a win-win situation for all, especially our customers,” he remarked.
